Google Classroom Guide

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a powerful tool which allows teachers to post resources and assignments for pupils to view and complete. We use it to set all homework in school.

Below, you can view a presentation explaining how parents can sign up for notifications regarding their child, and view some videos regarding this process:

Next, you can view a video which demonstrates the teacher view of Google Classroom, so you can understand how teachers utilise its various functions (please note that ‘House Assemblies’ has now been renamed ‘School Announcements’):

Finally, you can watch a video exploring the pupil view of Google Classroom, so that you know how your child interacts with Google Classroom (please note that ‘House Assemblies’ has now been renamed ‘School Announcements’, and there may have been some stylistic updates since the video was made):

Arbor

Arbor is our online portal which covers a multitude of systems and processes at the school.

From lesson registration and maintaining up-to-date details about pupils, parents, guardians, carers and staff members to organising parents’ evenings and tracking the awarding of Reach Points, Arbor is the place to go if you want data about your child at The Reach Free School.

Through the parent portal, you can track your child’s attendance, progress, and their Reach Point total.

If you are a parent of a child at the school, you can access the parent portal by clicking here. Should you have any problems gaining access, please contact us.
